I wanted to list all the cars I ever had, even the ones that were projects cars.  This is just a light list, I have some people I know that these are the amount of cars they had in a month, so I am not trying to compete with anyone with an amount.

My First Car, The Start of NovacaineFix

Picture
I can only find a few pictures of my very first car, my 1970 Chevy Nova.
It was metallic shit brown, had cheap chrome wheels and cheap imitation Alphine speakers.  Yes, that is not a typo, it didn't have Alpine speakers, it had Alphine speakers.

Oh well.  I was young and dumb, it was my very first car and it was $500.

I loved this car and hated this car so much, probably because I beat the piss out of it and kept breaking it.  Part of my learning curve, I guess

After I blew up the original engine, I started getting more into performance.  I had the original 307 taken out and a 350 put in it's place.  Then sometime later, I bought a 400 small block that was already proven and built up some.

The seed was planted.

Here is a fuzzy shot of my Nova after I put a hood scoop on it.

Killer Honda-bucket

As you can see, this car was in perfect shape when I bought it.  I bought this for $175 from a girl named Shelly at Arby’s where I worked for a bit.
It needed the head gasket replaced, and I knew that up front.   You can see my Nova is in the background in the process of getting a new engine, so I needed something for the time being to get around.
I had never replaced a head gasket before and really never worked on anything foreign so this was all new to me.
Needless to say, after tearing it apart I never got this back together again.
It wound up being that the head was is far worse shape then I thought it was and a simple head gasket was not going to fix it.  So I got rid of it.  It wasn’t that much of a loss, I had been driving it for a little bit before taking on the head gasket problem anyway.

1981 GMC VanDura

Picture
I really don’t know why I was looking for a Van, but for some reason I was and found one.
For $150, I believe, I found this ’81 GMC VanDura G20 with an extended cargo area, so it was huge.
I bought it knowing that the engine was bad, since I had pulled the 400 cid from my Nova, I had a sweet engine I could put in it with lots of torque and power.  I wound up not putting that 400 into it but instead semi-rebuilding the 350 cid that came out of it.
I semi-rebuilt this engine with a super-cheap engine rebuild kit and what a learning experience that was.  I did not replace the connecting rod bolts and for what reason I did not do this, I don’t know, but I learned something.
Don’t forget to replace the Rod Bolts!

Don’t forget to replace to Rod Bolts...
Picture
As you might as guessed already, guess what happened when we got the engine running again.
Okay, your minute is up, the connecting rod bolts on one of the connecting rods broke causing the piston to crack the bore and basically killing the engine and block. : -(
I really don’t know what I did with the Van, I think I sold it for parts after that, I don’t really know.
I really don’t know why I wanted a van to begin with, it might of been because my friend Chris had one and I thought it was kind of cool, but who knows.

1980 Chevy Camaro

I bought this car from an old man, in his 80's because his family was concerned that he was not competent anymore.
Basically, he had side-swiped some cars and hit another and was getting worse.
I bought this car and drove it around for about a month then sold it for double my money.

1978 Olds Cutlass

I had this car for a while and it got me around.  It was a sweet little ride and comfortable too.  The cool thing about this car was it kept me out of trouble because it looked like every other car around.  Being the low life trouble maker I was, this was part of my urban disguise.
I wound up selling this car for next to nothing, but at a good time.  It started getting to that point where stuff was breaking left and right

1981 Formula Firebird

Picture
Ah, the Formula Firebird, by far one of the best and worst cars Ben and I ever had.

Let me explain what exactly I mean...Ben can attest to this as well.

We bought this car for [no lie], $50 and a 350 engine block, which we had got for free anyway.  So in total $85, we had the engine block cleaned for $35.
